N. Mohammad Plastic Industry Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Green & Blue Planet Solutions Co., Ltd. to explore opportunities related to Renewable Energy Certificate development, plastic credits and carbon credits.
The MoU was signed on 16 July at Barcode Food Junction in Chattogram, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations. Representatives from PwC Japan, Green & Blue Planet Solutions and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA, also attended the program.
This collaboration represents an important step in N. Mohammad Group’s ongoing commitment to responsible industrialization, renewable energy and environmentally conscious manufacturing.
Exploring Renewable Energy Opportunities
A major focus of the partnership will be assessing the potential development of Renewable Energy Certificates, or RECs, from N. Mohammad Group’s upcoming Solar PV project.
Through future technical discussions and feasibility assessments, the organizations will examine how the planned solar energy initiative can generate measurable environmental value and support the Group’s long-term sustainability objectives.
The discussions also explored possible opportunities related to plastic credits and carbon credits through measurable reductions in carbon emissions.
Factory Visit and Knowledge Exchange
As part of the program, the visiting delegation toured N. Mohammad Group’s manufacturing facilities and observed its production activities.
The factory visit was followed by a knowledge-sharing session where participants discussed responsible production, efficient resource utilization, renewable energy and possible areas of future technical cooperation.
The program created an opportunity for both parties to better understand each other’s capabilities and identify practical areas where international expertise could support N. Mohammad Group’s environmental initiatives.
Leadership Commitment to Sustainable Growth
N. Mohammad Group Chairman Mr. Monjurul Hoque emphasized the organization’s commitment to responsible industrialization and sustainable development.
He highlighted that the MoU is an important step toward integrating internationally recognized sustainability practices more effectively into the Group’s manufacturing and energy operations.
Managing Director Mr. Nazrul Hoque also reaffirmed the Group’s continued investment in recycling, renewable energy, resource efficiency and responsible production systems.
He expressed optimism that the technical expertise of Green & Blue Planet Solutions, together with the involvement of representatives from PwC Japan and JICA, would help identify effective ways to create measurable environmental value through the Group’s sustainability initiatives.
